To ensure that all public infrastructure in the City of Frisco is constructed to the highest possible standards, various design and construction standards have been developed by the Engineering Services Division and adopted by the Frisco City Council.

These standards are used on both capital improvement and development projects

The Engineering Standards, originally adopted in June 2012, have been revised as of October 28, 2025.

This document contains design standards, construction standard details, technical specifications and general notes.

The updates include additions of products.

The Approved Materials List in effect at the time of the pre-construction meeting is the governing materials list for that project, unless otherwise approved by the Director of Engineering Services.
