Marks and Brands Renewal
Pursuant to Texas Agricultural Code 144.044 all marks, brands, and tattoos currently registered with the County Clerk will expire on August 31, 2021.
The renewal period for all marks, brands, and tattoos is August 31, 2024, through February 28, 2025 and the effective date of the applications filed during this period of time is August 31, 2022 to August 30, 2032.
Pursuant to Agriculture Code Sec 144.041, each person that owns cattle, hogs, sheep or goats shall record that person's earmarks, brands, tattoos, and electronic devices with the County Clerk of the County of the County in which the animals are located.
Each person that owns a horse shall record an identification mark authorized by Section 144.001(b) with the County Clerk of which the animal is located.
